Since we have been looking at the dress and outfit of a sorceress, now would be a good time to talk about sorcery in general.
One of the first forms of magic practiced was in fact sorcery and it has been practiced since prehistoric times, however as it continued to be used in the Middle Ages the people of those times considered it to be malicious black magic and a sorceress, thought to be evil as she would call upon evil spirits to resolve specific problems or maybe do harm to those who she considered a threat to her. In medieval times sorcery was considered a one of the greatest sins and it was thought that the sorceress was Satan’s servant and would attend ceremonies on a weekly basis to celebrate their evil god.
